Traditional Korean Art Workshops

We offer engaging workshops designed for religious organizations, schools, businesses, and community groups to experience traditional Korean arts and culture. One of our signature programs is Minhwa (Korean Folk Painting), providing hands-on opportunities to explore Korean artistic traditions through creativity and cultural learning.

Thank you for your interest in our cultural workshops. The International Culture Lifelong Education Center offers hands-on Korean traditional arts experiences for schools, churches, organizations, businesses, and community groups. Group workshops are available for 10 or more participants.

1.K-Pop Demon Hunters Drawing Workshop – Whittier Art Gallery

A special K-Pop Demon Hunters drawing workshop was held at Whittier Art Gallery for participants of all ages. Attendees explored creativity through character drawing and Korean pop culture themes while enjoying a fun and interactive artistic experience. The workshop brought together children, teens, and adults in a shared celebration of art, imagination, and cultural expression.

3. Peony Canvas Bag Painting Workshop – Sejong Institute

A traditional Korean art workshop was held at Sejong Institute for local adult participants, where attendees painted peony designs on canvas bags. Through this hands-on experience, participants explored the beauty and symbolism of the peony, a traditional Korean motif representing prosperity, happiness, and honor. The workshop provided a meaningful opportunity to experience Korean culture through art and creativity.

세종학당 모란 캔버스백 페인팅 워크숍

세종학당에서 현지 성인 참가자들을 대상으로 모란 캔버스백 페인팅 워크숍이 진행되었습니다. 참가자들은 캔버스백 위에 모란을 그리며, 한국 전통에서 부귀와 행복, 품격을 상징하는 모란의 아름다움과 의미를 직접 체험하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 예술과 창의적인 활동을 통해 한국 문화를 자연스럽게 경험할 수 있는 뜻깊은 프로그램이 되었습니다.

4. Dancheong Painting Workshop for Seniors – Irvine Onnuri Church

A Dancheong painting workshop was held for approximately 70 senior participants at Irvine Onnuri Church. Participants explored the beauty and symbolism of traditional Korean decorative patterns and colors through a hands-on cultural art experience. The workshop provided an opportunity to engage with Korean heritage while encouraging creativity, connection, and joyful learning.
